Maison Roussot is a super brand of tableware and customisable decorative objects, all designed in Nantes and made in France. The idea behind this collab? To showcase French expertise through unique, customisable products, but also to celebrate our shared DNA, which can be summed up in just a few words: "made-to-measure, unique and ethical". So we've come up with a jewellery item with the slogan "cuckoo beauty" hand-written Thea-style on a bowl or mug signed Maison Roussot. It's a feel-good slogan, a reminder that we're beautiful, cool and brave all at the same time... A credo that reminds us every morning of the importance of celebrating ourselves every day.

Why did you agree to collaborate with Thea? First of all, I love this brand and Emilie's energy! You can see it in her jewellery! We also share the same values and the desire to always create personalised, unique products.
What is Maison Roussot? Maison Roussot has been around since the beginning of 2017. With my background as a stylist/product manager/buyer, it had been a while since I wanted to use these 3 hats to create my brand. Creation is what drives me!
Brand values? Craftsmanship, know-how, bringing up to date objects from our childhood, short or even very short circuits, quality creations to keep and pass on. That's Maison Roussot!
Maison Roussot was the name of my grandfather's business, which I loved very much. I wanted to pay tribute to him by creating a new story around his name.
Where are your workshops located? Our workshops are located in western and eastern France.
What are the production stages for the "Coucou beauté" cup / bowl? Every bowl and every mug needs a lot of attention.
First of all, the basic shape has to be baked in a mould. The clay is called culinary pottery (I'd say it's somewhere between earthenware and terracotta). The handle of the mug is placed by hand as it is not part of the mould.
Then there's the painting stage...all by hand! Either with brushes or "pears". Then comes the enamelling stage and finally the second firing.
In between, there are drying stages. And all this involves a lot of delicate handling by human hands, because the products are fragile. That's why we have a lead time of at least 1 to 2 months for large orders! And allow 15 days to 3 weeks for orders placed on our website.
What inspires your ceramics? I'm inspired by the world around me, I'm interested in everything, and I'm delighted by every discovery! Nature in particular (I grew up in the countryside, so it inspires me a lot), and the world of artistic creation (twentieth-century art, for example). I could spend my life in museums. Which is what I did when I lived in Paris... without children 😉
What does the message "Coucou beauté" mean to you? A positive message, a message of self-confidence. A way to start the day feeling strong and beautiful! Because yes, as women, we have to be everything at once, and we deserve to be praised for it.
Who knows... I hope one day there will be more women in power. There would certainly be fewer ego crises, fewer wars...
Go beauties!
