Maison Roussot is a super brand of tableware and customizable decorative objects, all designed in Nantes and made in France. The idea behind this collab? To showcase French know-how through unique, customizable products, but also... to celebrate our shared DNA, the basics of which can be summed up in a few words: "made-to-measure, unique and ethical signature". We've therefore come up with a jewelry object adorned with the slogan "cuckoo beauty" handwritten Thea-style on a bowl or mug signed Maison Roussot. A feel-good slogan, like a reminder that we're beautiful, cool and courageous all at once... A credo that reminds us every morning of the importance of celebrating ourselves every day.

Why did you agree to collaborate with Thea? First of all, I love this brand and Emilie's energy! You can see it in her jewelry! We also share the same values and the desire to always create personalized, unique products.
What is Maison Roussot? Maison Roussot has been around since early 2017. With my background as a stylist/product manager/buyer, it had been a while since I wanted to use these 3 hats to create my brand. Creation is what drives me!
Brand values? Craftsmanship, know-how, bringing up to date the objects of our childhood, short or even very short circuits, quality creations, to keep and pass on. That's Maison Roussot!
Maison Roussot was the name of my grandfather's business, which I loved dearly. I wanted to pay tribute to him by creating a new story around his name.
Where are your workshops located? Our workshops are located in western and eastern France.
What are the production stages for the "Coucou beauté" cup / bowl? Every bowl and every mug needs a lot of attention.
First of all, you need to fire the basic shape, which you've already made in a mold. The clay is called culinary pottery (I'd say it's somewhere between earthenware and terracotta). The mug's handle is fitted by hand, as it is not part of the mold.
Then there's the painting stage...all by hand! Either with brushes, or with "pears". Then comes the enameling stage, and finally the second firing.
In between, there are drying stages. And all this involves a lot of delicate handling by human hands, because the products are fragile. That's why we have at least 1 to 2 months lead time for large orders! And please allow 15 days to 3 weeks for orders placed on our website.
What inspires your ceramics? I'm inspired by the world around me, everything interests me, and I'm delighted by every discovery! Nature in particular (I grew up in the countryside, so it inspires me a lot), and the world of artistic creation (twentieth-century art among others). I could spend my life in museums. What I did when I lived in Paris...without children 😉
What's your inspiration behind the "Coucou beauté" message? A positive message, a message of self-confidence. A way to start the day feeling strong and beautiful! Because yes, as women, we have to be everything at once, and we deserve to be praised.
Who knows... I hope one day there will be more women in power. There would certainly be fewer ego crises, fewer wars...
Go beauties!
