Choosing Your Ring Size
Find your size in just a few minutes, without leaving home—and make sure to measure accurately before ordering.
1 What is a ring size?
In France, a ring size equals the inner circumference of the ring, in millimeters. Size 52? That means a circumference of 52 mm. It’s as simple as that.
2 Why It Deserves 5 Minutes of Your Attention
A ring that's too tight or too loose is never a trivial matter—especially when it's custom-made just for you.
1 Comfort
If it's too tight, it cuts into your finger and is a pain to take off.
2 Safety
If it's too loose, it twists, slips… and can get lost.
3 The Fall
When it fits properly, it stays in place and shows off the jewelry.
4 The Adjustment
It is still possible to adjust the size after production, but only upon request.
3 How to Measure at Home
Three ways to find your size without leaving home.
1 A ring you already wear
Place it on a ruler and measure its inner diameter, edge to edge (not including the metal). Check the conversion chart below.
2 Our printable ring sizer
Print it at 100 % (use a ruler to check that the 5 cm reference mark is actually 5 cm), place a ring over the circles, and identify the one that matches exactly.
3 Have a Thea ring sizer delivered to your home
Upon request, we'll send you a physical ring sizer to your address—convenient for trying it on directly, without a printer. Email us at hello@thea-jewelry.com with your mailing address.
4 The Right Time (and Pitfalls to Avoid)
Your ring size is not a constant—it varies depending on several factors.
1 Measure in at the end of the day, at room temperature — The fingers swell slightly with the heat and as the hours go by.
2 It's all in the hand — Measure the exact finger that will wear the ring; the left and right hands are often different.
3 Pregnancy, Water Retention — may slightly affect your usual size.
4 Not sure which size to choose? Always choose the largest one.
5 Wide ring (more than 6 mm)? Go up half a size—a wide ring feels tighter than a thin one.
5 To summarize
1 Take the measurement at the end of the day, at room temperature.
2 Use our printed ring sizer at 100 %—it's the most reliable method.
3 Is the ring too big? Go up half a size.
4 Not sure which size to choose? Always go with the larger one.

The key point to remember
Custom-made and bespoke jewelry is neither exchangeable nor refundable—each piece is one-of-a-kind, designed just for you. Good news: if the size you chose doesn’t fit when you receive it, we can always adjust it according to your instructions; resizing is then done based on a quote. Be sure to take five minutes to measure yourself before ordering, to make sure you have the right size.
